Special Education can be overwhelming for families, but I have your back! You deserve support that feels comfortable and empowering, allowing you to be the superhero you are.
As a mom, how do you prioritize your day?
That is such a tricky question and one where the answer has changed so many times as the kids have gotten older. I work full time and have 3 kids; 19, 16 and 13. Every part of my life needs to be prioritized at some point so it really depends what is going on. There are times when work has to be a priority so that is where I put some extra focus. There are other times when the family needs to be a priority and they get what they need. The lesson I have learned over the years is that is there no way to prioritize everything and those priorities will and should change… and that’s ok!
What made you decide to start your business?
After 25 years of working in the school system and seeing families and schools struggle to work together to meet the needs of children with special needs, I decided to take all of my experience to help families navigate the system. I believe that when families and schools work together, children succeed and the more we focus on that, the more success we get!!
What advice would you give moms who work from home?
I don’t work from home so I wouldn’t assume to know exactly what their challenges are but I do know that as a working mom, we need to remember to take care of ourselves every once in a while!
What advice would you give moms who are working to start or build their business?
Believe in yourself! I think as moms we lose ourselves a little bit and when we refocus, we have some doubts about who we are and what we can do. The more we “flex those muscles” the more we realize we can do it!
What one word would you choose to describe yourself?
